What is Movember?
Movember began in 2003 when two friends realized moustaches provide a great conversation starter. Why not, the story goes, use this conversation starter to navigate into the sometimes-uncomfortable discussions about men’s health issues like testicular, prostate and other male cancers?
Little did these two gentlemen know how successful their efforts would prove. Men and women who support their fathers, brothers, spouses, partners and friends began to have conversations about men’s health. The most recent numbers for Movember participation from 2019 show that over 6 million people throughout the world are part of the Movember movement.
Some of the discussions include questions about causes of male-specific cancers. More specifically, is Zantac use linked to cancer?

It is public knowledge that Zantac has low levels of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), a probable carcinogen. A fact that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed. Although NDMA does not cause immediate harm, prolonged use of drugs that contain it may increase the risk of certain cancers, including testicular, prostate and other cancers. As a result, those who have taken the popular heartburn medication Zantac may be at an increased risk of developing these types of cancer.
